On the other hand, Deepak Rai, another Exter owner, reports impressive mileage figures for the CNG variant. Rai attained 33 km/L on the highway without using the AC, and with the AC on, the Exter CNG delivered 30 km/L. When running on petrol, the Exter achieved over 17 km/L on the highway.

Hyundai claims a mileage of 19.4 kmpl for the petrol variant and 27.1 km/kg for the CNG variant of the Exter.
