Before the official launch of the new Maruti Swift in India, its details have leaked out, revealing some interesting features. Now New Swift is more economical, feature-rich, and safer. Its booking has also officially started in India. You can book, through the Maruti official website or at a Maruti dealership near you by paying a token amount of Rs. 11,000.
Fuel-Efficiency
As we know, Maruti is replacing its K-series 4-cylinder engines with the new Z-series 3-cylinder engine to increase fuel efficiency. Now, this brochure leak confirms that the new Swift will come with a claimed mileage of 25.72 kmpl, which is 3 kmpl more than the older version fuel efficiency figures. This represents quite a significant jump in terms of mileage. We are expecting that the new Swift will only get an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) option, similar to higher models of Maruti like the Baleno.

Swift: Engine Details, Safety
The new three-cylinder engine will produce a power output of 82 hp and 112 Nm of torque, which is lower than the older K-series engine power figures. However, there are several positive additions, such as the inclusion of 6 airbags standard across all variants, which is a commendable step from Maruti. Furthermore, the new Swift will be more feature-rich, with confirmed features including a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless charger, rear AC vents, C-type USB ports, LED fog lights, and an Arkamys sound system.
