Nowadays everybody owns an SUV, even you might own an SUV. But have this impacted other segments? The answer is Yes. Mid-size sedan segments have shown the least number of sales since the popularity of rival SUVs. Brands have focused more on consumer affinities and showed less interest in the less revenue-making sedan segment. The times changed? Recently the whole segment got hot. Now the Korean manufacturer Hyundai has started taking bookings for their upcoming 2023 Verna with a token amount of Rs 25,000.
We first saw blockbusters comebacks from Skoda-Volkswagen, followed by the Japanese giant Honda with impressive Hybrid tech. More options are always a delight for consumers and most joyous for petrolheads. A desirable sedan is always an enthu-cutlet when it meets a corner.
Hyundai India is set to launch The all-new Verna 2023 on the 21st of March with completely revamped styling. The car also has ADAS, while none of the major competitors in the segment provide it till now. Ahead of the launch MD & CEO of Hyundai India Mr. Unsoo Kim showcased design renders of the Verna 2023 and called it a “futuristic and ferocious design”.
Hyundai Verna 2023 Official Renders and the Big Changes
The front with a split LED Headlamp setup, an LED light bar running across the width, and a large blacked-out grille is suiting well with the new design family. At first glance the front end will grab your attention and the details will keep you busy for a while. Coming to the sides the cuts and dominant creases gives out cutting-edge futuristic car vibes quite literally. The sloping roof is a beauty with a silhouette of an alluring fastback. The rear end is also not shy to fascinate you, the crystal-like inserts inside the tail lamps with connected light bars are a neat decoration.
More importantly, the Hyundai 2023 Verna will have a longer wheelbase and might have more space. That is a piece of happy news for those considering a chauffeur-driven car. Additionally, ADAS features like blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, driver attention alert and adaptive cruise control, etc will raise the bar for the competitors. However, the interiors of the 2023 Verna are still kept under the shadows which are also expected to get radical updates.
Hyundai Verna 2023 Powertrain options
The 2023 Verna is expected to get the most powerful 1.5L direct injection turbo petrol in the segment with 160HP and 253NM of torque.
