29 Oct, 2020

Volkswagen has started rolling a new car technology. Check out the details below.

Volkswagen has introduced a new connected car technology with its most popular cars with Polo and Vento. A SIM-based ‘My Volkswagen Connect’ Application consists of numerous convenience and safety features for its customers. This application is a bit different from that of previously available Volkswagen connected application. The main difference between the two application is only the use of SIM to gather data and the features in the latest one as compared to the use of Bluetooth in the previous application.

While making the use of this new connected feature, the customer must have to plug a dongle into the on-board diagnostics (OBD) port of the car and just download the ‘My Volkswagen Connect’ applications. This app has access to any Android/ios device. While making the use of connected car technology with the previous app, the car had to be turned on and an individual has to be in the car. But, this time the features can be used remotely. This feature comes as standard with that of Polo GT TSI and Vento Highline Plus along with three years of free subscription and warranty.

Talking about this newly rolled out application by Volkswagen for Vento and Polo then this app provided analyse of an individual’s driving style including braking behaviour, speed, acceleration, RPM and coolant temperature. Also, it helps to locate points of interest and reaching customer or roadside assistance in case of emergencies. Moreover, this app can scan, upload and store all essential vehicle’s documents to experience paperless driving.
