MG Hector diesel Automatic variant has been recently spied on the camera. MG Motors India is doing a lot to expand its business in India. Besides various launch of its cars, now the company has focused to roll out the diesel variant. After launching a BS6 compliant diesel Hector this year in May, MG motor has now officially confirmed the SUV with an automatic diesel option.
The official launch date of this variant has not been confirmed yet but it is to expect either later or early next year. The automatic diesel variant was spied with 17-inch alloy in dual-tone along with an updated front grille. It was quite shocking when the diesel automatic variant was not on the cards of the premium product delivered company at the launch of Hector. On the other side, the rivals of Hector has already a diesel automatic variant with themselves such as Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and Kia Seltos. So launching a diesel automatic has become essential for the company.
As we mentioned earlier, MG Motors India has announced to invest almost 1000 crore rupees in the Indian market in the upcoming year so as to improve their dealer network, customer support service, increase production capacity and launching new cars. Taking this into consideration the company has decided not to make any compromise with any of their products.
According to the surveys conducted, MG will probably launch an automatic variant of the Hector automatic BS6 compliant. Currently, the SUV is provided with a 2.0-litre engine which has the capacity to generate the power of 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. It is further to expect Hector diesel variant with a hike in price by Rs 1 lakh.
If the Hector automatic diesel variant is to launch then it would surely be made available in the top two variants namely – Smart and Sharp. Talking about the price of diesel automatic variants of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos then they have priced at Rs 15.99-17.20 lakh and Rs 13.34-17.34 lakh, respectively. According to this, Hector’s diesel automatic variant would be competitively priced by the company.
