Mercedes EQC is an electric SUV which was launched in October 2020 last year. It was introduced at the starting price of Rs 99.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and comes under the premium electric vehicle segment in the country. So, after completing almost 3 months in the country it has now been sold out by the company at the moment.
Speaking to car and bike Martin Schwenk, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, "The EQC has done very well in India and it has generated a lot of interest amongst customers. We have sold the cars we had in our initial orders. We are now replenishing the cars and have the bookings opened again."
This electric vehicle in available at this introductory price for only first 50 units. It is further available in limited 6 cities across the country including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.
In terms of powertrains, Mercedes EQC is powered by a floor-mounted 80kWH lithium-ion battery which will power two asynchronous motors, one on each axle. This motor is capable of producing 408 hp of power and 765 Nm of peak torque. It can further pick up the speed from 0-100 kmph in just 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 180 kmph. Also, its battery comes with 8 years of warranty and have a WLTP-certified full-charge range of 400 km.
Some of its highlighted premium features include a massive 12.3-inch dual infotainment screen and creature comforts like ENERGIZING comfort control, massage functionality at the front row, latest-gen MBUX system. This electric SUV further stand tough while competing with Audi e-Tron, Porsche e-Taycan and Jaguar i-Pace.
