As we already know that Kia Sonet is ready to hit the official platform on September 18, it will be very exciting to know about the key features that it will go to have added and which are enough to give a tough competition to its rival (Hyundai Venue). We have come up with the following list where as many as 7 features of Kia Sonet are taken to compare it with its cousin and rival Hyundai Venue.
Kia Sonet comes with a 4.2-inch colour digital instrument cluster, making Sonet up to date with the modernized cabin. Whereas, Hyundai Venue has analogue dials, with a small multi-info display in the middle.
Sonet Will be the first sub-compact SUV in India Which will have ventilated seats. Kia Motors India has provided these features which will be suitable for hot and humid conditions of India. Currently, Hyundai is offering these features in its various cars like Creta, Elantra and Verna whereas Kia has made this feature available in Kia Seltos & Carnival. So, this feature will be accessible by the customers at affordable prices.
The company will introduce its Sonet with a big 10.25-inch free-standing touch screen infotainment system with Smartphone connectivity and Kia UVO connected car tech. On its contrary, Hyundai Venue comes with an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Hyundai Blue Link Connectivity.
Kia Sonet will further have 3 distinct driving modes i.e. Eco, Normal and Sport. Not only this, but the Sonet will also have 3 typical traction modes namely Snow, Mud and Sand which will help out the driver to take on the cars over various types of terrains. However, these are the additional features that Kia Sonet will get over the Hyundai Venue.
Hyundai Venue misses out an automatic variant with a diesel powertrain. However, Sonet and Venue share the same engines and specifications. This list includes a 1.2-litre four-cylinder NA petrol engine rated at 83 PS/115 Nm; a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine which pulls out 120 PS of maximum power and 172 Nm of peak torque; also the 1.5-litre diesel motor that produces 100 PS and 240 Nm. The same specs are also available in the Hyundai Venue. Do note the diesel automatic in Sonet has variable geometry transmission which generates 115 PS and 250 Nm.
The Kia Sonet will be the second car to be obtainable with the front parking sensors after the Mahindra XUV300. This spec is one of the most useful while parking the cars in tight spaces.
Finally, the Sonet will further have a 7-speaker premium audio system from BOSE along with LED Sound Mood Lights. On the other hand, Hyundai Venue has only four speakers and two front tweeters with Arkamys audio.
All in all, the above-listed features will surely rock the ramp when Kia Sonet will be available to the customers. The buyers may find it difficult to choose a sub-compact SUV after considering these specifications. Moreover, some of the rivals of Kia Sonet will be Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and the Hyundai Venue.
