Volkswagen India silently discontinued the Turbo Editions of its Polo recently in the country. Followed by this, the company has now launched a new Comfortline variant of Polo in India. Volkswagen Polo Comfortline is a turbo-petrol variant and is priced at Rs 7.41 lakh for non-metallic whereas it is Rs 7.51 lakh for the metallic paint scheme (all, ex-showroom).
Furthermore, this turbo-petrol engine can also be opted with Highline Plus trim where both the transmissions (manual and automatic) are available. Here, the manual variant of Highline Plus trim is priced at Rs 8.49 lakh whereas automatic trim will cost Rs 9.60 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Now, with all these the new 2021 Volkswagen Polo is available between Rs 6.16 lakh – Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
In terms of powertrains, the new turbo-petrol Polo Comfortline variant is equipped with 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine can easily generate 109bhp of power and 175 Nm of peak torque. Also, this engine is only available with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Talking about some of the highlighted features of the 2021 Volkswagen Polo, then there are leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity, steering mounted controls, 12v charging port, front and rear anti-pinch power windows, climate controls, automatic wipers and many more to count.
Side by side, the Volkswagen Polo next-generation is also under process for the Indian market which will be developed on MQB A0 IN platform. The pricing of the same is still unknown but it will be packed with several features.
