The Ford EcoSport is launched with a new automatic variant called Ford EcoSport Titanium. The company is trying to make it more appealing for the customers interested in Sub-4m crossover segment. The price of this new variant is Rs 10.66 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The new Ford EcoSport has a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which can churn up to 122hp and 149Nm of torque. The AT it comes with is a 6-speed torque converter with paddle shifters. Ford is providing doorstep test drives and online bookings. Customers even get it delivered to their home by paying online.
The all-new 2020 Ford EcoSport AT is loaded with features like FordPass connectivity system which offers smartphone connectivity. Many other features like remote start/stop and remote lock/unlock. It also has cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, electronic stability control, hill start assist, dual front airbags, traction control and several other standard features.
This new variant is very much cost-efficient as compared to existing Titanium+ automatic – It will cost you Rs 90,000 less. The engine is available with standard 5-speed manual transmission too. The demand for automatic cars has never been such high ever before and this affordable variant is surely going to catch the attention of so many potential buyers.
The current BS-6 compliant EcoSport comes with 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel motor which produces up to 100 hp and 215 Nm of torque. It has a standard 5-Speed manual transmission. The 1.0-litre turbocharged Ecoboost petrol engine had to put on stop because of BS6 norms.
The EcoSport has been attracting customers for a long time for Ford in India as compared to any other car offered by Form in terms of volume. The battle is now becoming tougher because of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300. Still more competitors like Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite are yet to come.
